At Dagbesteding LCC, we want to create a small-scale and safe learning and working space for (young) adults with a mild learning/mental disability. In our centre in Hardinxveld, we mainly welcome (young) adults who, for whatever reason, experience any distance between themselves and the job market or society in general.
Our visitors can not only improve their creative skills, but they can work on their psychological health as well. That way, we hope to contribute to their sense of dignity and help them connect with society and the job market.
Through original activities – individual or in (small) groups – we help (young) adults develop their skills in an accessible way. We adjust our activities according to the abilities of the participants and ensure that everyone can be included. Therefore, our motto is ‘Everyone is creative and talented!‘.
Our schedule varies each day. On fixed days, we organise a (board)game afternoon; on other days, we might get creative with paper or soap. In between activities, there’s always time for a pleasant chat and a cup of coffee.
Most handmade items that are created by our participants are sold in our craft store Creabeaux in Hardinxveld. We also offer career opportunities for young people who find it difficult to get by in the job market. They can, for example, prepare orders, package products or take photos for the web shop. It’s an ideal solution when it comes to gradual reintegration.
We’ve got plenty of connections with other companies where young people can take part in challenging jobs according to their own abilities. That way, we reduce the staff shortage within various sectors while helping young people to grow and grasp opportunities.
